Favorite guitar shop in the valley?

Recommendations

I'm going to be looking for a used Telecaster this weekend and wanted an updated opinion poll for the best guitar stores in the valley. I'd prefer to support local businesses. All suggestions welcome!

I've gone to Boogie Music in moon valley/Glendale (35th and cactus I think) since I was a kid. My dad is friends with the owner (Clint) and he's a really awesome dude. Usually will cut anyone a deal.

Milano’s in Mesa but they don’t have much in the way of tele’s.

I had that same issue going to Brindley's, where I used to shop and get lessons twenty years ago (at their old location). I don't think they carry any Fender guitars at all. Oh well.

Only place I know carries Fenders is Guitar Center. There is a place in Scottsdale but it is very pricey

Zimm's does, I'll probably drop by there again. I'm hoping for a few more places to check out, though. Maybe Bizarre Guitar.

Cool, I'll check them out too! Thanks.

I hate to say it, but if you're looking for used gear the best selection and prices (if you're patient) by far are on Craigslist.

I guess I worry more about getting ripped off that way. I'm not an expert. At least with a store there is somewhere to follow up, probably some limited return policy, or at least social media shaming if they burn you.

That's a valid concern, but a MIM Tele is only going to be around $350. Not a lot of room for getting scammed there. Even a standard MIA should only be around $700.

Fair point. I'd probably just stay away from any craigslist specials where they are touting a bunch of mods since I can't really accurately assess the value (or de-valuing) of that stuff (yet).

I wouldn't touch anyone's little "project". I don't even like buying used guitars where just the pickups were replaced.

I know that Bookman's on 19th Ave and Northern has a decent selection of guitars. I may have seen a Stratacaster or Telecaster the last time I was there.

Got my eye out for a good sitar, personally.
