Rubies
Rubies adorn her arms
Glinting radiant in the moonlight
Each drop a crimson release
From pain
She watches them as they tumble
Down her arms in a red cascade
Dreaming crimson release
From pain
The night air stirs and touches her cheek
She whispers softly into the mist
Waiting for her release
From pain
She laughs heartbreakingly
Memories crowd her on every side
It can't come soon enough, the release
From pain
The moon sets and the sun rises
There she lay still and pale
Among her ruby pool, released
From pain
