I'm sorry you can't review the show anymore. I always enjoyed your reviews, even if I disagreed with your opinions on the quality of the show. I hope you continue to work with Doux Reviews, and that I see you reviewing other shows I watch in the future.
Dear ladydmaj,
I'm sorry too.
I will not rule out that I will write more Gotham material - either if we get no reviewer for Doux, if I feel the show improves, or both. But, I can't keep up reviewing a show on a regular basis if it takes me a month to get anything written because of the foul taste in my mouth. Writing features, on the other hand, may be an option. In my opinion those have always been my strongest pieces.
I also think the quality of my reviews has deteriorated sharply. Of course I blame the quality of the show to some extent but there's probably an element of being burned out. I work a lot nowadays.
My schedule right now consists of two DS9 episodes, then I have signed up to review the pilot of Titans. If I like it I'll keep covering it.
Take care, and well, the "goodbye" comment may have been overly dramatic... I'm sure you haven't seen the last of me.
Hey I liked your review. Some highlights
Yet. I've said this numerous times, in order to make a couple rootable we need to get a sense of what they're fighting for. We need to see some happy moments. Bruce and Selina had a three-second kiss and then it was curtains. Couple this with the apparent bizarre decision to have Selina paralyzed and this leaves us with a setup for a fifth season that may prove really frustrating.
Yeah I have to agree, one of the major problems between how they have done Bruce and Selina in the show is the actual lack of any happy moments. They keep throwing in either pointless drama or well a three second happiness before curtains for you.
Like I know this is Gotham but come on guys.
For season 5 it's going to really suck to watch the two of them possibly and more then likely they will in season 5 go through the same exact story arc we got in season 4 of them rebuilding their relationship.
When it comes to Barbara, she can no longer be viewed as anything but a satire of the worst kind of millennial, entitled female supremacist.
I don't think it's satire, I think they actually believe it and just use Barbara to disclaimer of saying "Well it's just a villain, we don't actually believe it."
Regardless I agree Barbara at this point yeah she's ridiculous. Frankly I wish she would just get removed from the show for good.
Just in general if Gotham's season 5 wasn't the final season I don't think I would be returning to watching it at all.
I'll return to watch it but I doubt I will review it. I don't really think I'll download it as it comes, more likely I'll binge it.
Sad state of affairs when I'm more excited for the return of "The Gifted"...

Don't blame you at all and yeah I might end up doing the same. Or at least wait some episodes then watch it before I play catch up again on TV. Since I don't really download the episodes.

I don't watch the show The Gifted but yeah I know what you mean by that.
Goodbye.
What do you mean goodbye
You reviews suck!
