My body is a bottle of DAWN
My body is a bottle of DAWN
carrying a baby ocean -
the son or daughter of moon
As a container I am not enough.
Its mother, the pupil in night's
star-speckled iris
Controls the vastness, not me
flowing into the floorboards
of this house
A water damage
to the physicality of creation
spilling over the measurement cup
I am
Pulled in and out, in waves
like melted gallium
like a soul severed
from its host.
In this fluidity
I sometimes see myself
walk on water
dripping with moonlight
Before I drift away to the command
of a current
I sleep peacefully
On the surface
Where I will wait
for the puddles on the floor
to ebb in
again
to the shelter of skin.
