The Globe
The Globe
I am exploring the earth with you
We are pointing out countries at random
Standing gleefully beside a globe
The world at our fingertips
And that night, we begin
Your mouth tastes like like India in the summer
The flavours and brightness and vivacity
They combine on your tongue
And it intertwines with mine and then, even India is not enough for me
Tokyo is next
The speed, the lights
The wonder of an experience so brand new
As you reach down, it’s almost too much
But at the same excruciating time it’s not enough
I always want more, I always want more of you
What I do next
Is an abandoned beach between cliffs in Portugal
In front of me is a bed of sapphires
And what we are sharing transcends into not just human
The life in the ocean and the rainforest and the desert
Is inside us
And,
I am there
I can feel the bitter air of the lagoons in Iceland
And the hot dust from the ruins in Rome
I am as tall as the Empire State Building
And so far under the sea in Thailand I reach infinity
I am dancing with medieval dragons in China
And twirling around in a Scottish marquee
I am everywhere
And I am home
