The moment in the jungle
The tiger lurks in the tree
Powerful claws sink into the bark
Splitting it like the shadows cut the moonlight
/
He crouches poised to strike
The perfect predator, hewn from the night
A sillhouette akin to death himself
/
His solemn eyes gleam
Like twin pools of glittering yellow starlight
And reflect the souls of long forgotten prey
/
Your eyes catch the glare
A monster, pulled straight from myth
And indeed, you feel trapped in stone
/
As the moment passes
The beast simply rises
and withdraws
