The GURDY - A PM Only Charity Tournament - October 6th - Troy, NY

Hey all,

Just wanted to take a second to shill about an upcoming tournament that's very near and dear to my heart. One month from Thursday (October 6th) I'm going to be running the first annual GURDY, a PM-only Charity regional with crews, singles, dubs, and a smash ladder. Some of you old school heads, especially you old school netplayers, might remember Gurdy (aka TGDF/That Gosh Darned Fox). He was a local Snake main from Albany, NY who took his own life ~3 years ago. Every year we've done different things either as a community or with his family to help remember him, and this tournament is the next step for us in doing so. All proceeds from the GURDY will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to help people get the help that they need. Now to the nuts and bolts.

Who: So far we have cars coming from CT, Mass, NYC, Montreal, Central NY, and Western NY. Not to mention the horde of mid-level pot monsters that infest Albany, NY.

Where: Troy, NY at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Campus

When: Saturday, October 6th

What: Project M Crews, Dubs, Singles (with RR Pools) and a Smash Ladder for all of those who don't make it out of pools. Furthermore, the winner of the event will get a fancy-schmancy trophy similar to the ones that we had made back in the NLSS days.
