I've been having a very hard time finding online resources on admissions benchmarks to be competitive for various programs in international development/development economics. I recently finished 2 years of Peace Corps service, I have a few months of volunteer/consulting work with several different NGOs, GRE 164V/162Q and an undergrad GPA of 3.3 (compsci/philosophy) from a top liberal arts college. I would like to apply for PhD programs but I'm worried that a lack of undergraduate research/mediocre GPA is going to hold me back. I'm also considering masters program but I'm having a hard time finding admissions stats of top schools for these specific programs. I don't want to waste my time appl

What decides who gets to play against the ghost when there is an uneven number of dead players? It seems like the rule that you can't play an opponent that you've played in the past two fights still applies. It also seems that I'm more likely to play KT when I have less health than my opponents? Is it random?

Hey I had a question about PC policy. I'm a current PCV and also studied software engineering in university. A friend of mine who is involved in a tech startup wants to bring me on as a technology consultant when I finish service in a few months. My question is, am I allowed to sign a Non-disclosure agreement/ do unpaid work for his company while I'm still a PCV? If so, where is the line? We often have phone calls to talk about work. Is it ok to continue doing this as long as I'm not officially on contract and not getting paid?

Math pls

Hello r/hearthstone. I'm a US Peace Corps volunteer working as a Math Teacher in Rural Guinea and I just reached top 250 legend! I've been playing from my hut on a laptop hotspotting from a 3G connection attached to a solar panel which can only charge my laptop for 2ish hours a day. I've never had so much fun grinding ladder before and I hope the Meat Machine keeps cranking out wins. Check out the pics below!

I've been considering making a youtube channel to make weekly videos in which I will

Jam some Hearthstone; record some games

Give my thoughts about the meta/ give players feedback about improvement in Hearthstone and competitive enterprises in general.

Probably most importantly, t

Hi y'all, I'm an American Peace Corps Volunteer working in Guinea. A good friend of mine is about to finish High School here and has dreams of getting an education abroad and returning to work as an OBGYN. Unfortunately, the education and training opportunities for this path in Guinea are nearly nonexistent. I want to help connect her with placement/scholarship opportunities that are appropriate for her situation but frankly I have no idea where to start. Does anyone have any personal experience or resources that I could share with her that may be helpful?

Hi. New here but with some coding experience. I'm currently living in rural Guinea and I have been shocked by the reach of telecom services including dumbphone compatible applications like mobile money transfer apps and SIM card services that use USSD codes.

If anyone here is familiar with the Orange Money service, I was looking for info on what goes into developing a desktop app that communicates with phones via text message or USSD code and can load that info into a SQL database or something like that. Anyone got development experience with similar apps that could point me in the right direction to get started?

Sometimes you just get wrecked in the first 30 seconds of the game. Waiting around 3 minutes for games that are already over is a huge pain. Pls supercell give us the honorable way out.

I've been an Armada fanboy since I started playing smash and although I'm sad to see him leave, I'm happy to see him go out on top. He truly is the Seinfeld of Smash. Few can doubt his legacy as the best Melee player of all time. There is however, another mountain that he has not yet climbed. The Swedish Sniper was once a dominant force in Project M in 2015 but has never challenged any of the current PM titans. Now that he's retired from Melee singles maybe we can convince to enter the ring with Thunderz, Sosa, Lunch, Molla-Key, and the rest of PMs upper echelon. It would be a huge win for the PM community which has been making slow progress in expanding its audience for the past few years.
