Hot water in sink only after the shower has been running?

Title explains the issue. Some more details (please excuse any incorrect vocabulary) :

The shower is a single value, rotates cold into hot. Sink has a hot and cold handle. Water in sink is a bit "airy", not sure if that's related at all. US home if that matters.

Any ideas or this? Any way to fix this without destroying the walls. Not the end of the world but super annoying nonetheless.

EDIT: Water comes out of the hot tap pre-shower, just not hot water.

You don't have hot water when you turn it to the hot setting? Or you don't get any water at all on the hot setting?

Moen Positemp valves are known for allowing cold water to bleed into the hot, but I've never had one that didn't allow any hot water to come through, at all. Changing the cartridge may be a good place to start.

You can test if it is the faucet. Turn off the hot water valve under the sink. Disconnect the hot water hose from the faucet. Put the end of the hose in a bucket. Turn on the hot water.
