I want you to hurt me, darling
I want you to hurt me, darling,
With slaps to the face and bites on my lip;
Liven my grey soul:
Darkness from me strip.
I want you to hurt me, darling,
With lashes of leather and thongs of twine;
I know you enjoy this:
So make my living corpse thine.
I want you to hurt me, darling,
With knives to the skin and pins to the flesh,
Allow blood to drain from me:
Come on, in its cool fountain you may refresh.
I want you to hurt me, darling,
With blades upon my fruitless manhood;
Remove it with vigour and fling it to the fish:
Let my race be gone for good.
So that I may never sow my cursèd seed
In one less worthy than yourself.
For I want you to hurt me, darling:
The real pain hides,
It is not red;
I want you to kill me, darling:
So put a bullet through my head.
