Bolder
It happened on a warm night in june
While my lips where whistleing my tune
I know, I was looking at you like a bufoon
It was when your eyes pierced me like a harpoon
Suddenly I wasn't feeling well
I tripped, I fell, I did not tell
In your green eyes I could not dwell
But that moment I wished I had a soul to sell
You laughed, I tried to laugh
Damn, I fell into your trap
"What are you doing?" you asked
"Looking at the stars" was the perfect mask
You wore that red dress with pride
While you pushed yourself to my side
As I stood there petrified
Your smile you could not hide
I could feel my heart start to smolder
As you put your head on my shoulder
I don't believe they've ever been more broader
Then you asked "Why can't you be more bolder?"
