Spider's powerful bounty
So this has been drilled in my head since we found out about it, but aren't powerful engrams supposed to be well. powerful.. until you've passed the cap for it? So Spider's powerful bounty is a 540 recommended activity, yet at 536 LL finishing it gave me something that was just +1 my light. This is annoying because the way I understood it, it should give me powerful stuff until im 540?? Did it glitch or am I thinking incorrectly?

That's what it does. There are multiple levels of powerful gear.
Why did i get a +1 from a spider bounty at 536?? I should be getting powerful rewards till 540. I'm not 540 on my character. That's the point of this post.
So you are 536 and you got 537 from spiders bounty? Like i said some bounties give you less power level like just +1 and then there are others that give you higher like strikes and crucible and nightfall that can bring you higher.

Yeah, they give higher light depending on its recommended light. Nightfalls continue to give super powerful engrams till 540 because its recommended light is 540. Likewise, spider's final bounty recommends 540, so it should also give super powerful until 540. Im annoyed because i didn't get a powerful engram from it.
It should, but it doesn't. If it's bugged or intentional is unknown. Petra seems to be "bugged" as well, giving me mostly +1 at 545, when she's supposed to give +5 until 560, according to reddit
which is confusing and bullshit btw.
What no it's not there are multiple bounties and activities that always give me +1 higher then my power. And then there are other activities that give me much higher powerful engrams. And then there are Prime engrams which always drop 5+ above your power level.

Well you can if that's what you're into but not really Sometimes Powerful engrams from nightfall or strikes can drop at much higher light. Like for me today I got from 551 to 556 from just farming 3 Gambit matches, Doing the whole Dreaming city stuff with the mission and Blind well and presenting offering to oracle engine and the 3 weekly bounties from Petra. and still got crucible, strikes, nightfall, the 20 bounties for Ikora etc.
