I short poem I just wrote called "Feel"
So, I recently felt the need to learn to write poetry again. This is a first step. I threw this together in about 30 minutes. Let me know what you guys think!
My soul is not from this time,
My soul is from the far past,
It is from alien civilizations like that of ancient Greece, or Nomadic tribes of the plains of early Africa.
My soul does not feel the chimes that young people feel,
My soul, though it longs for the hot blaze of ever-changing feeling, is content with stillness,
It sits, calm.
But then, there was you.
You made my soul feel what it has not felt in 500,000 years,
You made my soul want things long obscured by Time, himself,
Like a gentle wind, you stared.
My soul is no longer content with a calm ocean,
My soul has felt your vast universe of new, and wants nothing more, nothing less,
It has felt love.
