Freckles and Scars
How beautiful
It is to think
They exist
To show our frailty
These constellations
On our bodies
Reminders dimpled deep within
Marks of where we are today
As well as where
We’ve ever been
How beautiful
It is to think
They exist
To show our frailty
So doubt for not
One second more
That dots and strokes left on our skin
Speak volumes deeper of our lives
Than lines on paper
Scratched with pen
How beautiful
It is to think
They exist
To show our frailty
Does it need something in the middle to convey why one shouldn't doubt? I'm conflicted.
