Fight On
Summer ends, fall begins, winter reigns.
Lady time knits a shawl for all men,
Spring is wasted trying to outrun the night
The natural reaction of man is not fight.
More days pass and time speeds.
Bringing a whole race unto its knees.
Yet still we hopeless few crave more
Not yet will we give the final roar.
That final escape of life from burnt lungs,
We hold on tight like a mother onto her son.
Never wanting another day for us to miss,
Never letting our days fall into abyss.
The final fall the future of all
Yet hope we for prolonged dismissal.
Fight on, my friends, we foolish lot-
Not endings we fear: but lack of plot.
