Black Badge Course Southern Ontario

I'm finally considering doing the course but I am having a hard time actually finding a course anywhere in Southern Ontario. The official website is pretty useless and does not list any courses whatsoever. Anyone have any idea where I could actually book one?

Also for those that have done the course, what does it entail? I am considering doing it with a P2000 with which I can shoot a ragged hole at 10m fairly easily, is that enough? Also considering it's a DA/SA, should I be practicing shooting DA?

Thanks!

If you plan on shooting IPSC Production, you'll have to shoot DA first shot when drawing from the holster. Focus on safety first when drawing from the holster. Practice drawing with dry fire until you are comfortable, then take it slow when drawing for real.

If you are shooting well at 10m, I'd stretch it out to 20-25m and see how you do at distance.

Try sending an email to Kent Hill at [email protected] to see if he has any info regarding upcoming courses.

Chances are though you might need to wait for warmer weather before you start seeing more BB courses offered.

You can also try emailing coordinators at clubs near you. You don’t have to be a member at most clubs to do the black badge.

Quite frankly they should trim the course into one day and run it more often so they can get more people into the sport. Or simply allow people to run it professionally and make money from running the course.

Would I just go into target sports and ask to sign up or what? they don’t seem to list it anywhere on their site
