I just started trying to produce kefir from dehydrated grains, and they appear to be working but I'm getting an extremely overpowering yeast smell and flavor after 24h of fermenting at room temperature with a cloth overtop the jar's opening. I'm not sure if this is normal since I've never had homemade kefir before.
Is this normal? If not what are some possible steps I can take to remedy it? For context I got my dehydrated grains 4 days ago and went through the process of activating them as outlined by the instructions
I'm going to be mounting a scope for the first time ever (only shot pistols for a while) and need to know where to start.
The rifle is drilled & tapped to accept Remington 700 compatible bases. I am going to be mounting a NF scope with a 30mm tube. I'm not sure which brands to look at when it comes to rings and bases. I just want to get something of good quality that I don't need to worry about. Don't care about the price or having them 'lightweight'.
Also what are some good tools to have handy when it comes time to mount everything?
When a customer goes to a gun store and is interested in a firearm, the clerk typically pulls out the one from the display case or gun rack, and the customers fondle, dry fire, and rack the gun to try it out. When buying, do you ask for a fresh one from the back or do you not care whether the gun has been the fondle model
The idea of buying a 3k+ pistol that everyone and their uncle has dry fired is very unappealing to me, wondering if I'm just picky or anyone else feels this way
Hi all,
I built my PC in 2011 with a 1TB, 7200 RPM, 32MB cache Western Digital hard drive. Since then I have obviously filled that space considerably, and am now experiencing 100% disk usage very often. I am a full stack developer and often times find myself running web browsers, multiple IDE windows, etc. and I often get considerable loading times upon starting these programs coupled with 100% disk usage. Starting the same stack of programs on my stock Lenovo laptop is currently way faster than on my main workstation.
I have decided that it is finally time to upgrade by adding additional hard drives, but I haven't a single clue as to what to buy. I want to get something fast with 2TB+

cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/gun-firearm-glock-...I'm finally considering doing the course but I am having a hard time actually finding a course anywhere in Southern Ontario. The official website is pretty useless and does not list any courses whatsoever. Anyone have any idea where I could actually book one?
Also for those that have done the course, what does it entail? I am considering doing it with a P2000 with which I can shoot a ragged hole at 10m fairly easily, is that enough? Also considering it's a DA/SA, should I be practicing shooting DA?
Thanks!
