Update: I got my labs after 112 days of zero carb... Glucose of 91 and NOT IN KETOSIS? WTF?
Hi, I made a post here a few days ago and got some awesome feedback from you all here. I followed a lot of the suggestions and have started feeling better, so I'm continuing on. However, something has happened that I absolutely cannot believe. My lab results show I have a blood glucose level of 91 mg/DL (towards the upper end of the 65-99 normal range), and that my urine was negative for ketones.
Nothing that I've ever seen, heard, or read, prepared me for that result. I haven't had a single carb in that whole time, I am positive of that.
I have to consider that "too much protein" might be a real thing. I thought it was a myth, based on what some clinician once said (confirmation bias on my part), but now I have to consider it more seriously.
Anyway, I just wanted to write this to ask if anybody has any suggestions, as well as to say thank you for the awesome feedback I got in my last thread. My current plan is to score some Berberine HCL, and get some keto strips to start testing.
Edit: Whew, a lot of you have already told me that I should still be in ketosis. That's great news, thank you guys again!
