I completed both weekly bounties for the logs last week and wanted to hang onto one so I could grab something new this week since i already completed the machine gun and auto rifle. well i went to go pick up the hand cannon frame and i noticed my ballistic log was gone. just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Uh. No. I did. I had the log to get the machine gun frame but held on to it because like most people I didnt know they would disappear on reset. So yes I missed out on powerful gear and got nothing

Doesn't make sense to me. They're already capped at 2 max. You should be able to keep them as long as you like.
Except when you only get one powerful option from Ada so you can only use one of the two they give. That's not cool, because I missed out on a powerful drop, but had the log to do one.
I don't see the issue. You were presented with an option. Do another powerful now or not, and you chose not to. Seems like that was on you. I did literally every powerful I could from her on all 3 characters last week. I don't have any issues. I only completed bounties to earn logs for frames I was going to do now.
not everyone has the time to clear every powerful drop on every character every week. however i expect when i put the effort in to get the item to pick up a powerful frame that it wouldnt just get deleted meaning that i wasted my time. they already limit you to 2 logs per week. they should count them when they are used, not when they are earned. meaning if i wanna save 2 logs til next week then cool but i cant earn 2 more and use them again. id have to wait for the following week. this ensures the time i spent to get that log isn't wasted.
There is an issue. Even if one wanted to use the Log, you couldn't if you had the sniper frame in inventory. The log was locked out.
Except only my auto rifle was powerful. The HMG was not after the initial quest. So I quite literally could not use it.
The option was to use it, but it could not be used because clues to the next forge were discovered and a frame forced into my inventory, which prevented me from redeeming the log from the weekly.
Like I said before though, maybe it is possible to hold onto the bounty before turn in to not run into the issue of the log disappearing on weekly reset.
It is bullshit because some weeks (like this week) there are only 2 balistic bounties and 3 powerful frames to choose from meaning we can't have a sword and auto rifle and a hand cannon this week. We can only have 2/3 which despite what you may think is very much bullshit.
You can however keep 7 daily bounties, pick up the weekly bounty, cash in the dailies and get one straight away
good to know. i may do that for next week. i dont know if i wanna get a second sniper just yet.
They should add a tool tip stating "Removed at weekly reset".

i mean i couldve done the machine gun frame again last week but i already got hammerhead from the intro quest. didnt wanna do it again just for a different roll. thought id keep it to get something new.
I had one on each character, but only one character actually had the option to use it, and I didn't because he was my lowest and it seemed like a waste. I feel like something is wrong here though - either we should be able to save them or we should have been able to use them last week. Earning one on two characters that couldn't be used feels like there is a bug somewhere.

I didn't realize you could only hold 1 quest at a time. I had 2 logs, bought the machine gun because it was first, then I couldn't buy the AR. And now I lost my other log because that all happened last night
I thought you could only get 2 per week? 1 for each powerful frame available.
Except you still have potential to get screwed when the possibility for 3 frames happens and they don't even bother to offer 3 bounties.

What ? I saved 2 of mine because I was happy with the rolls I got. That's really stupid and honestly pisses me off.
Fucking stupid. Saved one specifically for if she was selling the hand cannon frame or bow frame So i could save just a littleee of grind, but NOPE.
Just discovered this when I logged in. I figured, I'll save my Ballistic Log until next week so I can get cracking on a new weapon right away. My mistake: Thinking something with no indicator it will be removed would remain in my inventory.

I got lucky and just picked up another powerful frame after finishing the other three. Now I need to do that frame then all the crap for the hand cannon.
This makes me really glad that I held onto the bounty for the warlock last week lol

Didn't do the auto rifle this past week so I guess I'm never getting it as far as I can tell from the game.
It will come back around in a few weeks more than likely. You'll definitely have another chance to get it.
Did anyone else have an issue where upon completing ADA's weekly bounty for forging two weapons, you receive no reward?
So you cant even use the ballistics logs unless you have Izinami open now? WTF, Bungie...
The two for this week have to be forged in izinami. No point in buying them unless you can actually forge them. You also have to complete the bow frame first just like the sniper and machine gun for the other two forges.

Wait, so i completed a bounty to get a ballistic log last night but didn't want to pick it up to experience the losing of the weapon frame due to that other bug. So you're telling me that those expire, without prior warning, at the weekly reset? I couldn't actually pick up an additional frame since i already had the sniper frame in my inventory
Is the solution to hold onto the completed bounty and not turn it in to get a ballistic log... damn that took me all week to finish

I have had it completely with Bungie and their stupid fucking designs and their lack of information. What a fucking waste of time. I spent all last week to get 2 ballistic logs on each of two characters so I could use them this week and I find they are gone. Right now I am done with this game after being with it from the beginning. Anthem launches shortly and that's where I am going .
well, then you might end up not getting next weeks bounty since you have already acquired/completed that...?!
I’m certain at some point it won’t be an issue but that week it was a time sink to clear the bounty.
