Can't connect to Europe servers

Discussion

For the past week I have been unable to connect to European servers on PC. The error message I get is:

"Connection to EA Online timed out. Your network bandwidth and/or network latency may not meet the requirements for this game"

I can connect to other regions such as North America without issues, though the latency is poor (80ms+). I can see all the Europe servers in the server browser and they show as around 15-20ms latency however I can't connect to any of them.

Previously done 20 hours of gameplay which was fine though for about a week this error prevents me from playing on European servers. Happens any time of the day, broadband connection is 80Mbps with 9ms latency according to speedtests, no issues in any other application or game and the hardware/software configuration is the same as when it was working fine.

Tried rebooting router, flushing DNS cache, verifying game files, deleting Origin cache and others. Was just wondering if anybody else had this issue or have any suggestions as to how to tackle it?

Thank you.

I had the same issue last summer (Battlefield 1 - France), after paddling the web for a solution I ended up on the EA site and found a fix that worked for me.

I had to delete a bunch of cache and temp files in some origin folders (several). I don't remember exactly what and where though.

I'm having the same issue, tried every suggestion I found online, so the same as yours, but also Port forwarding. None worked, and I'm kind of lost at this point. I just got the game, but have yet to play a single multiplayer game. Huge disappointment, I don't really expect this to ever work so yeah :/

Small update should anyone stumble here from Google.

Sadly the problem persists however I have been using a workaround to help connect into games and for me it works the majority of the time.

Firstly try to connect to a game as you usually would and when the error appears create a practice range session. Play the practice range until the BFV save icon appears (you can trigger this by loading some of the events in the range) and then leave the game. Finally, connect to a multiplayer game server and hopefully it will load.

When I follow these steps I can then connect to a server the vast majority of the time, but if I leave to connect to another I will have to follow these steps. No idea why this works in my case but posted on the off chance of it helping someone else.
