Hi

Recently installed a B550-XE but I'm having awful trouble with audio interference during GPU load. It's pretty much constant hissing which whines dramatically whenever the GPU is loaded, basically in some kind of sync with the coil whine from the graphics card and it's loud enough to drown out game audio. I have another motherboard, the Asus Crosshair X470, which does not have any interference when used with the exact same components and peripherals and neither did a MSI b550 Unify in my limited time with it. If I throw in an old sound card it does solve the problem though considering the price of the board I would like to get onboard audio working so the expansion slots can potentially

For the past week I have been unable to connect to European servers on PC. The error message I get is:

"Connection to EA Online timed out. Your network bandwidth and/or network latency may not meet the requirements for this game"

I can connect to other regions such as North America without issues, though the latency is poor (80ms+). I can see all the Europe servers in the server browser and they show as around 15-20ms latency however I can't connect to any of them.

Previously done 20 hours of gameplay which was fine though for about a week this error prevents me from playing on European servers. Happens any time of the day, broadband connection is 80Mbps with 9ms latency according t

Over the past few months many people were claiming to be falsely banned by Fairfight.

Today an official statement was released by the head of anticheat.

Hello Battlefield players, We’ve recently addressed an issue where players have been wrongfully banned from Battlefield 1. The cause was a single legitimate third party application tampering with the Battlefield 1 process, triggering a game/internal check against the player which in turn was reported to FairFight for automatic banning. Disabling the specific policy in our anti-cheat software has corrected the issue and we have lifted the ban on the affected players.

We approach anti-cheat systems cautiously. We take every step n

Yes sadly another thread about Fairfight.

A few days ago I was hit with a permanent ban despite not braking the ToS. I made two previous threads (1 2) regarding Fairfight. I'll try to be as brief as possible since the other threads were a wall of text though if you want more information the other two threads are worth reading.

Two weeks ago I was banned temporarily by Fairfight despite not cheating. In total I sent 4 appeals, 10+ Twitter posts (EA help and Ali Hasoon, also sent him Reddit PM which was ignored

In brief, Fairfight is the anti cheat system in Battlefield 1. It's a tool which analyses statistics of players to determine if someone is cheating. It does not detect hacks running on your PC. For more information, read their FAQ (though keep in mind there is bias since they are marketing their anticheat to potential customers). Fairfight has many issues and I will briefly touch upon them.

Firstly, it is an ineffective tool. Cheating is rampant in this game and not just from 'rage' hackers who slide them aimbot settings to the max. In fact, most cheaters do not make it obvious. They modify the settings to give them an advantage whilst avoiding obvious det

Yes sadly another post regarding FairFight.

I was banned two days ago by Fairfight because of cheating, despite never touching any. Contacted EA support but they simply responded with a template and couldn't care less. Thankfully the ban is only a week long however, they have reset my stats and I am one step closer to a permanent.

Have been playing first person shooters pretty much non stop since 2001 and have not encountered an issue like this before. Steam profile is squeaky clean and have had my Origin account since it's release in 2011 and this is the first ban on it. I wouldn't say I'm fantastic at the game, but at the same time I'm not poor either simply because I've wasted so much

It's great that so many people help each other with build lists however, many posts just include a list of different components with little explanation as to what has changed and why.

When changing parts it's great to know why you are changing them. Does that GPU offer better cooling? Why the different motherboard? Why did you change the power supply? What makes that SSD better than the one OP picked? Did you get a cheaper CPU to get a stronger GPU? Is there an offer on? etc

Just a few bullet points explaining the changes in just a few words will help the OP understand the changes better and possibly help them in the future if they build for anyone else or upgrade. It only takes a few extr

Following the recent thread regarding the importance of Gsync, I think adaptive sync is something that needs to be considered more often.

If you're building a whole new setup or doing a pretty big upgrade which includes the monitor and GPU, consider adaptive sync. Freesync/Gsync changes your screens refresh rate to match your FPS, eliminating screen tearing and reducing stuttering.

Freesync adds almost no cost to the monitor and it is a feature often overlooked when comparing graphics cards. Currently only AMD supports it though [Intel has plans to implement support for variable refresh](https://techreport.com/

First of all the Asus MG279Q is a pretty impressive monitor. The quality is great and thankfully I have fairly minor backlight bleed. Other than that, the picture quality is fantastic. Not a fan of the light anti glare coating as I can often see my reflection so personally would have preferred a slightly thicker coating but not a major problem.

Previously I had a BenQ XL2411Z 1080p 144Hz monitor and being a massive fan of 144Hz I decided to pick up this Asus however, despite playing games at the same FPS it does not feel quite as smooth. I've adjusted game settings to have similar FPS on both monitors and tried games like CS:GO which can easily reach over 144FPS at 1440p but the games just
