Be sure to check out the excellent comments on this.
Matches everything my daughter and her wife have told me about their Sunday crowd when they were servers at Olive Garden.
This shit's why I never waited tables when I still worked in the service sector. The hypocrisy towards wait staff probably would have accelerated my deconversion just on principle.
Why?
Read the comments of the servers. They will tell you.
Christians set such low expectations for themselves. God lives in them but they're reliably as petty, lazy, and selfish as the next person. The distinguishing characteristics of a good Christian are mostly superficial things like the jargon they use and the list of activities they refuse to participate in. Church is basically an overbearing book club.
