Anybody has a regular pattern in their sub-optimal days ?

Training

So I am M20, 112-130km/w or 70-80mpw with a 17:10 5k and 5:25-6:00/km or 8:45-9:40/mi easy pace(lower than 70%Mhr). Maybe i should add that my 5k is taken from a time trial on a gravel path... Basically ive stopped racing 3 years ago( my parents stopped me from training) so i dont have any other relevant all-out efforts.

Now I've increased my mileage from 60mpw/95km to 70mpw/120kmw in the last 8 weeks. In the process of increasing my mileage I've ditched my sole break day - Tuesday . Interestingly , i always have a very high heart rate when running on a Tuesday ever since. While running doesn't feel much harder its unusual, since my heart rate is higher by 10%Mhr( Oops typo: 10BPM) on this day, which is a huge difference and it basically means that by looking on my heart rate my threshold pace is 30 seconds/km or 48 sec/mi off on this day. Its a peculiar pattern, like if my body would slack off on this day anticipating a break.

But well maybe its just my heart rate monitor that shows perfect Spanish scrawl. Or maybe because of the loss of traction when running in 3 cm or 1 in snow and ice.

I should add that i feel better having no breaks, since breaks make me feel slightly sore and my form suffers from them.

Edit: 10Bpm not 10% Mhr

If your HR is consistently higher on Tuesday runs, it means your body is still recovering from the Monday runs.

And the added volume you've been running.

My sunday runs are long runs... Well the fautigue accumulates, thx for the clarification. Somehow i just couldnt put those two trivial things together.

How have you determined your maximum heart rate? Your easy pace of >8:45 seems awfully slow for a 5k time of 17:10. Also a another metric to be tracking is your resting heart rate. This is sometimes easier to compare day to day instead of hr at a specific pace.

Statistics... My all out efforts and my threshold pace indicate a heart rate of 196-206( though i never went over 196). Those four or five BPM cant do any harm. Thx for the advice! Will track my rhr more often.

I watch mine over the week and I can definitely tell when I'm sick, hungover, or put in a hard workout.
