i bought one a month ago or so, if your upper has a forward assist the sling slot and loop on the right side may get in the way of the FA very slightly. it's well made but just really wide
You're exactly right. I picked up five of these about a month ago and installed them on a couple rifles. They're extremely functional and it's nice to have the QD both left and right sides. As you mentioned it does slightly cover the fa. Can always be dremeled to remove one side if you choose, for $2 it's worth playing with it
I thought those are not QD mounts....and just holes to clip in a sling
I might not have been clearer in my original post. The two circular holes, one on each side, are for QD sling mounts.
Incorrect. They will NOT fit QD sling mounts but are for HK sling holes. They are just holes, not QD inserts
I picked up 3 of them, now I gotta build 3 new guns
The math checks out.
Bought 5 to lose in the lake with the lowers...
Bought 5. Not sure how they aren’t losing money on these with free shipping. I’ll take it.
In for 1. Why not
Those are rookie numbers son. You gotta pump those number up.
Anyone have problems with this?
It seems like it will get in the way of you hand when you go to grip the gun.
I had one that just had the hook loops (not the slots for threading a sling directly). It made it harder for me to actuate the safety in most positions. I tend to reset the safety by slightly straightening my fingers and rotating my entire hand upwards and "catching" the safety lever on the way up. With these plates flaring out to the sides, I kept hitting the metacarpal for my thumb on the plate when trying to switch back to safe. Something like the Magpul ASAP is a lot more practical, and doesn't seem to interfere with handling the controls.
I have one of these on an AR that I shoot several times a week, and not one time did I ever bump my hand or think that it was in the way. To me it's absolutely no different then any other end plate that I had on there
Thanks for letting me know.
Looks really snaggy
Good thing it's $2. If you don't like it, you can toss it.
Edit: it's been pointed out that my response before was kind of curt. I just meant to say that I agree that it looks like it might snag sometimes, but it's relatively cheap, so you could probably experiment without too much sunk cost.
These hurt my thumb.
What do you mean?
Do they hit your hand when you go to grip the weapon? Is it annoying/bothersome?
It's $2 delivered to your door. is it really worth asking everyone's opinion and missing out due to possible oos. Just buy one and try it out if you don't like it throw it in the trash. not trying to sound like an asshole but quite honestly they're going to be out of stock by the time you figure out whether you want one or not, so just go for it it's only 2 bucks
I have big hands. I find a m9 small. With these ambi plates rub on my thumb and no matter how much electrical tape I wrap it in, it still pisses me off. The magpul one doesnt bug me, just these flat ones. They are kinda sharp too.
Thanks for letting me know. I'll try it out since it's cheap. Merry Christmas.
For 2 dollars why not. My issues may not be your issues
In for 3, thanks OP.
In for 5. Why not.
These are all over ebay for the same price. Cheap Chinese stuff.
And? It's a plate of steel. It'll be fine. Also, I don't see any of these. The ones that are cheap on eBay will ship from China. These will ship from America.
These are also made (or at least claim to be) of heat treated steel instead of melted down coat hangers and old desktop computer cases.
These are made of steel, magnet will stick to them. not sure why so many people have an issue with these. It's an end plate, does not have to go through atmospheric reentry
Coat hangers and computer cases are also made of steel. The part takes a lot of dynamic loading, and it's a pain in the ass to replace it it breaks.
So did the stag ambidextrous charging handles that we bought on Black Friday, look where that got us
Fair enough, lol. Still waiting on mine.
GoOd ThInG iT’s OnLy $2!!!!!!! qUiT yEr BiTcHiN!
Is your comment directed at me?
What difference does it make if they ship from America? You’re really defensive over $2 lmao...
They'll arrive 10x as fast. You're really critical over something that costs $2.
I’m not who you were originally replying to, jackass. Quit your bitchy attitude.
and you got your alts to downvote me? Do you work for these people?
It would be financially irresponsible to not be in for 5.
Uh oh?
"The Volusion hosted storefront you're trying to reach is currently unavailable, or is no longer hosted with us."
The site displays for me.
Thanks-- Seems it only fails on my phone. In for 3
Oh wow, a website that actually tells when I'm scriptblocking the payment processor, and what I need to unblock in order for it to work. That's nice.
well, i just bought two to have around. Thanks.
In for 5
In for 1.
Seriously? I don't believe this is real. In for 5.
In for 4 yeet
Dam. In for several
You’re pretty much losing money not buying these. In for 5.
Bought 10 to fuck around with, weld to my flatspot lower, slap on airsoft guns, etc. This+stag handles are cheaper than actual airsoft parts.
Guess the stag charging handles are Chinese knockoffs.
I won't comment on the country of origin, but the fit and finish is, IMO, on the same level as a Chinese knockoff.
