Supposedly a single stack 9mm with a barrel length in between the 17 and 19 (106mm). Magazines hold 10 rounds. Seems like the perfect Canada model if true

Can't wait its basically a Kahr PM9 but cheaper and with magazine availability.

I prefer the fat grip to a single stack grip for go-fast magazine insertion, but this Glock is more space efficient.

A single-ish stack 10-round 9mm with a 106mm barrel?

Were they making it specifically for gun owners in Canada? Haha~

More like for California.

Unlikely since the gun-free, crime-free California Republic requires micro-stamping capabilities that no manufacturer is willing to do.

Does California even have gen 4 glocks on their special approved firearm list yet?

Californians can't buy any Glocks past Gen3 models.

Looks like a Smith & Wesson SD9VE...

Which S&W ripped off from Glock so fair game...

Except it'll cost twice as much...

Just remembered how horrible is the trigger on that s&w shudders

Manitoba357mb•

Meh, it's not that bad compared to most strikers. I think the majority of striker fire triggers are garbage, including Glocks.

However an SD9 can be picked up for around $300 (I've even seen them as cheap as $200 used), so it's forgivable to me. Something like a Glock that costs $700+ and has a spongy mess of a trigger is not.

Supposedly the Turkish 9 (can't remember name) has a great trigger because it's SA whereas most other strikers (Glock clones) are DA.

2
Manitoba357mb•

I don't know who told you that, but strikers are all kind of "single action" I guess, since the racking of the slide pulls them back and the trigger pull just releases them.

People say that strikers "feel like a double action" because they're generally a lot longer pull than a hammer-fired SA, and they're made out of plastic and you get that plastic-on-plastic rub, and the triggers generally have a trigger safety (like on a Glock) and they're made of plastic too, so if you throw all of that together you're pulling multiple little pieces of plastic together for a long distance and it doesn't feel great.

I doubt that a Turkish striker fire pistol has a "single-action feeling" trigger. Every Turkish striker I've ever fired has had a lousy trigger. And if Glock could make a good striker trigger, I'm sure they would have by now.

$30 spring kit changes that gun.

I like it, but I don't like that they got rid of ambi controls for us wrong-handed folks.

Apparently these are photoshopped, but the good news is we'll see the real deals soon enough.
