Anyone here using the Magic-NS to play 30th anniversary collection on their Switch? Doesn't seem to work with my Qanba Obsidian

So I just ordered a Magic-NS which is like a brook converter to use controllers on the switch. It arrived today and tried to play some 3rd strike with my Qanba Obsidian but it doesn't seem to recognize it. I tried all the different colored modes and ps4/ps4/pc configuration on the stick. My hitbox and ps4 controller both work without issues though. I also tried the Magic-NS on my PC and it's the same thing (hitbox and ps4 work, qanba doesn't) which makes me think the qanba is simply not supported. Anyone here have those devices and can tell me if it's supposed to work? Thanks!
