Finally got my 16 volt, but noticed a minor squeak/rattle noise coming from the dash left side of the steering wheel.

Somewhat annoying but just noticed this squeaking part right under the air vent after driving it for a day. I only hear it when I go over somewhat big cracks and pot holes. I can hear the squeak when I push at the plastic under the air vent. Has everyone had this similar problem? Should I just bring it to a dealership for something so minor? Thanks for any advice.

I've got a rattle in the pillar next to my ear when I'm driving my 2015. Didn't notice when I bought it, so I think it happens when the car is colder.

I hear that in both of my 2018s, but I have no answer for you. Figured I’d wait for first scheduled service to mention it.

My 17 has it too. Much more noticeable on rough roads than the highway.

My ‘18 had a rattle from the same area. I just shoved a toothpick between the trim in different locations until it stopped. Replaced the toothpick with some 3m double sided tape that came with my dash cam.

I also had a nasty rattle from the rear hatch. Turns out the dealer didn’t adjust the bumpers during pre-delivery.

One of the things that Chevy could have done better is the fit/finish and interior materials. The seats are great, but the dash and panels seem cheap and rattle-y.

Oh wow. How did you remove the dash to fit the tape, or which piece can you pop out first? I want to try felt tape to fix it.

I've been chasing this in my 2018. So fucking annoying. I bought a set of plastic trim removal tools because I thought it was somewhere under the "upper dash". Popped that off, couldn't find anything so I put it back on and it seemed to quiet down. Then it came back. At this point I've isolated it to the clear plastic on the gauge cluster. Under warranty so I'll probably have them deal with it.
