If fanwank was allowed who would win?
Man, are those posts on WWW shitty, they are low effort, belong on another sub and often became a huge strawman with people atacking some perceived wank that isn't happening for months now.
Not saying the mods should ban this or anything, because I'm against any kind of bans 99% of the time, just ranting because it's the point of this sub.
EDIT: Just to make it clearer I'm complaining about prompts who start with this premise, they are not THAT common, but are like a weekly thing, and the answers are always the same: Batman, Saitama, Silverback Gorillas (complete strawman nowadays), N O L I M I T S M A N and other annoying memes and strawmans that people barely wank nowadays or when they do they are (against the rules by the way) downvoted into oblivion.

If fanwank was allowed to win, it would be chaos. Goku is strong enough, but I've seen wanks that just disappoint me. Thankfully though, people mostly understand his powers and limits. However, the two biggest offenders in my eyes tend to be Doom Slayer and Batman.
If you have (for some reason) paid any attention to my history with Doom Slayer on this sub, one would know how much people surprise me with how poorly they interpret in game feats. I've seen Doom wankers somehow make an argument that old Doomsie could exterminate a planet populated by a race that has a space navy (meaning orbital bombardment is easily a possibility), and he could 10/10 Thanos with his bare hands. Just because Doom Slayer fought in hell for centuries doesn't mean he is the superior to "hell" beings like Mephisto, Satan, etc.. The hells are clearly different in power levels, with the standard Doom demons being at best human in strength, with no armor.
Batman is a case of NLF being misunderstood. There are countless debates over his "human" physiology, but his prep is considered an auto-win, just because of previous feats where he was able to succeed. I don't want to jump into that rabbit hole of debate, but let's just say it's equally annoying.

It's been a long time since I've seen that tbh. Batman antijerk is as strong as ever, look at that recent Batman vs Aang thread. "There's always some convoluted gadget that let's Batman win", "Batman is a normal human, he loses to a guy with superpowers since he doesn't have a writer to save him".
I don't have any special love for the guy, but everytime a Batman fight thread gets upvoted enough it's annoying to see this kind of discussion
For Doom, never underestimate the jumps in logic people will go to. Maybe it's died down since the last time I went onto WWW, I dunno, but it still baffles me with how poorly a character can be interpreted.
As for Batman, I do agree his jerking has been down as of late. Batman + prep is just one of the more notorious wanks I know of, which was only spurred on by that top 10 by Screen Rant, where they did characters who could beat Thanos with full IG in seconds, where Bruce with prep was ranked on there. Thankfully, there are a majority that now understand him better than Screen Rant.
Also, I have to agree with you on the weird Batman notoriety too. Just yesterday, I saw Batman v Aang (adult) be one of the top threads on WWW. It was mostly agreed to be largely in favor of Aang, because no prep was given, but still, if the answer is that conclusive, why are people upvoting? One flaw I see with no downvoting allowed in subs like WWW is that the uncreative posts will still exist, and people will more likely upvote rather than not at all.
I can confirm its died down a little after the guy got like 3 alt accounts banned but hes back with another as of yesterday

I mean, I'll grant that the last big Doom thread, Doomslayer vs Thing, was fairly wanky from the looks of it (even seeing a couple **'K I L L E D H E L L'**s in there) but like, in a highly upvoted thread like that, some nasty stuff is gonna crawl out of the woodwork. For the most part people acknowledge and don't tolerate Doom wank
If you take it off WWW, then yeah, Bat jerk is as strong as ever. Just confining it to the sub, though, I don't think anybody would seriously argue Batman beats IG Thanos. I hope

The thing that gets me is that so many highly upvoted posts were just buttblasted mini rants about Batman (or wanking Aang's capabilities, but that's not relevant). There was little actual discussion of feats or comparisons between fighters
