attach an owl head to it so it can hunt squirrels more effectively
You might be able to rearrange it to remove the wireless transmitter / receiver... leaving you free to fit more ammo. Alternatively, fit more power generation and switch the weapons for simple lasers. If you're particularly evil, create a kamikaze variant with a nuke inside :D
How long does it take to reload those long mini missiles?
They're 4m long and a single 4m long small missile costs 100 ammo to reload. From what we can see, he has 200 ammo, so he'll reload 1 of the launcher with 2/4 missiles. Then it'll take an additional 50sec for each missile.
Omg I can already imagine how annoying it will be already XD Nothing abit of laser can't fix :D
After a particularly annoying bout against the DWGs Flying Squirrel, I decided to make my own light aircraft. Here is the Fruitfly, a particularly annoying piece of flying junk that, while utterly exposed, unarmored, and ugly as hell, manages to be even more annoying. Equipped with the flight pattern of a drunken fly, this unaerodynamic thing costs only 4k material brand new and is virtually impossible to hit with cannons and missiles. It's shown to be particularly effective against similarly unarmored light craft, and can properly distract heavier opponents for longer than should be reasonable.
It is armed with a pair of 4x Frag & explosive Radar-seeking light missiles. While weak against armor, they do their job well enough.
Overall, a great success!
Try to run it on an rtg, with a helicopter blade for most of its lift. Will make it far less visible to IR. But I guess less random on its movements.
That's an interesting idea, I might try it on a different craft. This one seems erratic enough to dodge most missiles, so I'm gonna keep it as is.
Fair enough. I built a small helicopter that had a dediblade for altitude and one for forward. Used a couple of thrusters for turning (couldn't get the rudders to work well enough). IR and radar missiles struggle to maintain a decent lock so their tiny missile decoys work well. They're armed with a 4 small missiles and 1 medium missile firing a mix of he, emp, and frag. Sit about 1.5km away from the enemy and just ruin stuff.
