Placing clutter with moveobjects

You guys need to download this shelf ! It’s red at first and you can place it where you want and add all the clutter you want. Then switch to the white color and it disappears. As a clutter junkie it’s a game changer.
ETA: thanks for the silver! sorry I couldn't answer your questions I have 2 sick little kids i've been with all day
omg, I love you!
Do you have any other mods as good as this one?
Omg this is wonderful, thank you!
I love this thing.
What the hell is OMSP?
It's an acronym for One More Slot Please! The term dates back to Sims 2 days.
I see. I've never actually done much complicated home decor in the Sims, let alone 2, since I could never build more than a rectangle in 2, so I never came across this stuff. What does a OMSP do, basically?
One more slot package - it's like these little pedestals of varying heights that you can put objects on top and then place them anywhere with moveobjects. The pedestals become invisible in game mode so you can use as many as you like to clutter desks and counter etc.
Commenting in hopes of coming back later and seeing an answer to this lol.
Hey, there's an answer to this ^
Ah, thank you!
This is so me. I love kitchen clutter
It makes it so homey!
I don't know, everytime I make a new house I just go overboard with the kitchen decorations
same. there's barely any space to prepare something after I'm done
You only really need one counter empty ;)
Not according to my sims.. They love to put down the sandwiches in top of the tea maker even with 2 counters available.. 😩
I really wish that the sims people would do a clutter stuff pack. Without CC there isn’t enough to fill shelves and counters with.
I'd like this. You could have a Minimalist trait where Sims get tense around too much clutter and a maybe a Collector trait where they get happy having all their stuff around (my first instinct was to call it Hoarder but considering they try and be sensitive and renamed Insane to Erratic I think they would avoid mental health terms)
Let’s see it happen, sim people!
I think collector is already a knowledge quest/accomplishment/whatever
I think collector is already a knowledge quest/accomplishment/whatever
I know in Sims 4 there's a Curator aspiration
That the word! Thanks friend
Ugh yes! I'm a proud hoarder/collector :) I just love little porcelain and ceramic things, figurines, planters, etc. Those traits would be a fun addition and challenge to the game!
Like a $5-$10 décor pack that's just a few hundred objects to make your house feel lived in would be nice.

exactly!!
Kitchen clutter is the best part of designing a new lot.
I agree!!! It's my favorite part. It really transforms a house
I'm really hoping The Sims 5 has a toggle grid/snap point option, imagine placing walls, doors, windows & other grid reliant things without having them locked to a predefined grid or specified snapping points.
You would be able to create a perfect 1:1 ratio of any house you desired.
If you hold alt while placing an object you can place it outside the grid.
Not everything tho :—( like doors and windows
I NEVER used to do clutter in the houses I built. I’ve been playing the game since TS2 in 2004. Recently, I’ve started watching more videos on building and I’ve realized what a difference these tiny details make to help my house be more interesting. I struggle between how I make my rooms way too big and boxy, and then I don’t fill the rooms up with anything other than necessities. Little details like clutter has made such a huge difference! Only took me 15 years to figure that out 😂
Oh my god that was 15 years ago... nooo...

The real struggle is with shelves. NOTHING FITS IN THERE!!
I hate trying to use shelves! There is only like 3 things made to go on them!!!
I just realized we really need a simple hob that sits on top of counters. We only have stoves and that's so unrealistic omg. Someone tell the gurus!!!
I love clutter much on the Sims
Drives me nuts how my sim can’t use a counter space because he decides to put that one spatula holder right in the middle of the counter, instead of shoving it to the back like you’re supposed to do
Yes! Clutter is amazing, I love using the items in all the rooms to give a more "lived in" feeling.
If only we had such nice countertops, sinks, stovetops and clutter. Flooring and splashback.

Marie Kondo is ashamed of you all.
Augh if only you could leave it directly onto the counter like that without taking up spaces! I can only get it to work by moving the counter away first. First world problems lol
You can fill up the counter with other things, then move the thing you want, over it. It won't be touching the surfaces, but it'll look like its there 😊
Would you get a lot of clipping with that? Do you use a tiny object for underneath? Off I go to try this!
Would holding alt when moving help this ? I can't remember if you can free place things on counters.
Alt doesn't help with counters because the items will just snap to the available spaces on the counter. But if you place an item on the floor using alt and raise it up with alt 9 (alt 0 for down again), you can then place the counter underneath it, without using up the available slots. Unfortunately it's a bit of a pain, but very useful and the sims can then still use the countertops. It just takes forever :P
Oh okay yeah, I thought that was the case but couldn't remember. Have definitely used that trick when trying to place things like radios on tables they don't actually snap to. Never thought to try it with counters and clutter. Thanks for the tip !
You can also place all the items you want in the slots on the counter, then move the counter out, hold alt and move the objects to where you want them where the counter originally was, then move the counter back under them. I like that better than using alt 9.
For some reason I can't get them to move as freely when I do that? Not sure why
