Mike Trout 2019 stats
I know this is a shitpost but I wanna hear predictions about Mike Trout’s 2019. Does he get even better? Does he get injured again? Does he slash .350/.500/.650? Does he hit 50 homers? Does he get 15 WAR? Will he steal a tonne of bases? Or maybe he has an off year for once. What do you think?

Trout has improved some aspect of his game every single season.
2011 - Trout debuts, hits .220/.281/.390 in 40 games. This is the baseline.
2012 - Trout hits .326/.399/.564, racks up 10 WAR, sparks debate on MVP merits with Miguel Cabrera. Obvious improvement from the baseline.
2013 - Mike Trout decides that he doesn't like making outs, and boosts his walk rate 5% higher from the previous season.
2014 - Mike Trout decides that he wants more power. Trout increases his ISO by 30 points from 2013.
2015 - Mike Trout likes the power, but he also likes walking, and he forgot to do that second thing in 2014. Walk rate and power spike again.
2016 - Mike Trout wants to steal more bases. Mike Trout ties for the AL lead in stolen bases.
2017 - Mike Trout decides that he doesn't like striking out. He posts the lowest K% of his career.
2018 - Mike Trout thinks he could be a better fielder. Mike Trout registers 6 outs above average in 2018, up from -4 in 2017.
I don't know how he's going to improve in 2019, but he will improve. Maybe he'll pick up Shohei Ohtani's slack and start pitching.
Maybe. I want to be optimistic as usual because Mike Trout is unquestionably the best player in the MLB today, and I want to see him play, but he has missed ~55 games in the past two seasons. Maybe he only plays 150 games? Here's hoping.
If Trout posts a BABIP like he did in his rookie season (.384), hell yeah he does. Otherwise, on the conservative side, Trout probably ends up with like .320/.450/.600 (still the best in the league).
Trouts' HR/600 last season was like 38? It's not out of the realm but I would tend to doubt it.
Definitely not. It would take Trout putting up a .380-ish BABIP and being healthy for all 162 games for him to get even close, and even if he does, he still might not reach it.
I feel like Trout will still get like 20ish bases, but he seems a bit more cautious on the basepaths after his injury in 2017.
Mike Trout does not have off years. He is an unstoppable baseball monster, and we should all live in mortal fear of his power.
Great answer. This is the kind of response I was looking for. I think he’ll do something like .320/.440/.560 with 44HR 30SB and course only like 83 RBIs
Lol Mike Trout's "off year" aka his worst season he slashed "only" .288/.377/.561 with 36 dingers and a 168 OPS+, and he unanimously won the MVP.
I'd say he tries to improve his contact this year and hits .330
