sub-par performance with my rig

While my gaming pc performs ok. I always felt my fps in general could be much higher
My setup :
MSI-z170a pro
i7-7700K (oc'd with oc genie)
EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3
Kingston RAM 2x 8GB @ 2133mhz
M.2 250GB Samsung SSD
For instance in Overwatch on ultra/epic settings I don't seem to be able to hold a steady 100+ fps.
Same issue with Monster Hunter world
Just played the Anthem Demo, only had 70 fps on all low settings..
any ideas? Could it be the ram holding me back?

Ooh. I honestly have no idea what's going on here. It seems pretty serious. Any chance you could have picked up some malware?
no not at all. I work in IT so I'm pretty careful. I've always felt my performance was not up to par but never bothered to run a test.
maybe i should try a clean install and run the test again?
Thats probably the best way to do it. If you don't have much to back up I would probably just go for it. If you do have alot of stuff I might wait and try find another fix.
