I have powerful PC more than capable running any VR game so the logical answer would be the Rift S
But I love the wireless capability of the Quest but i'm afraid the graphics downgrade will be a bit too much for my taste.
However I've been reading about Virtual Desktop. Streaming games from your pc to the quest. Does this work well? I wouldn't use it for games like beat saber since it's on the quest too. But for other games which aren't reactionary I'd love to
Having that graphics upgrade + wireless really interests me. I'm just wondering how well it works right now.
I have great wifi at home, 5Ghz right next to my PC so that wouldn't be an issue.
as the title says. I get about 30% fps drops when i connect my laptop with hdmi to my tv. It works perfectly on my laptop itself. near 0% frame drops.
i tried 2 different laptops with the same result. i tried nvenc and the other method to stream (forget the name). Is there a way around this?
my network speeds are very good. as it works perfectly on my laptop.
I want to host my own music. I've been exploring and testing various programs but haven't found the best solution yet.
These are the requirements :
Multi-Room audio
Ability to stream music from outside my network
Low data usage from outside my network
Must run in docker on a raspberry pi
Currently I have Logitech Media Server running, which runs very well but I do have some issues with it :
Creating playlists is a nightmare
Uses enormous amounts of mobile data when streaming from outside my network. Even when I transcode to 128 kbps.
I'm using squeezeplayer in conjunction with orange squeeze. I've streamed music for maybe 2 hours and already it used almost 1GB of mobile
Been three years since i got hospitalized with a severe anxiety attack. Had a rough 2 years after that with lots of panic/anxiety attacks. Hyperventilation too.
I have it somewhat under control this last year. My doctor always said exercising would help my anxiety. I'm a little overweight as well and decided to start exercising.
But whenever i start exercising my stress response goes through the roof afterwards and I feel anxious for hours after exercising with elevated hear rate and tightness in my chest.
My heart has been tested and was fine. But I have an issue that i get anxious whenever i can feel my heart beat. So exercising is making it worse..
Is it something i'll have to power t
Hi
6 years ago I bought a benq xl2420t . I've been looking into upgrading it but not sure if its worth the cost. It's a 120hz monitor.
My ideal monitor would be a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor with either g-sycn or freesync with a range upto 144hz
Now i'm running my setup with nvidia's adaptive sync enabled. Everything seems to be very smooth. Is g-sycn/freesync a big difference still?
My setup is a i7-7700K 16GB GTX 1080ti
Hi
While my gaming pc performs ok. I always felt my fps in general could be much higher
My setup :
MSI-z170a pro
i7-7700K (oc'd with oc genie)
EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3
Kingston RAM 2x 8GB @ 2133mhz
M.2 250GB Samsung SSD
For instance in Overwatch on ultra/epic settings I don't seem to be able to hold a steady 100+ fps.
Same issue with Monster Hunter world
Just played the Anthem Demo, only had 70 fps on all low settings..
any ideas? Could it be the ram holding me back?
Hey, anyone have any experience with this? Yesterday I wanted to stand up from the couch and i got this sudden jolt through my diaghpram which hurt a lot. The pain is still lingering today.. Should I be worried? I've had this before but not so intense like yesterday
Hi, to give a little backstory. I've been a DJ since 2005 and visited my share of concerts/events/festivals. Never used any hearing protection whatsoever. Since about a year ago I started wearing earplugs wherever needed.
About a month ago I developed tinnitus in my left ear, it started off pretty soft and as a week went by always became louder and louder up to the point I couldn't sleep anymore and was hearing it all day. I became very sensitive to sounds and fluctuations in pressure.
I had this for about two weeks at its loudest and then it started wearing off up until it's hardly noticable now.
Now it seems to flare up whenever i'm in noisy rooms or circumstances. Or whenever I listen
Hi
Been reading a lot about raspberry pi the last few days. I have an old amplifier I want to replace and I want it to do 2 things:
is this doable? I know the first part is, unsure about the second.
