What a moron. The charges that they had them on for the posters were probably shaky at best, and then this dumbass goes and slaps a cop when he probably could’ve just cried “freeze peach” and then let go after a while.

Yeah probably just a littering charge since what they were doing (probably) fell under a local littering ordinance. I've heard about Nazis getting warned / cited in other places under littering laws. Not really a huge deal from a legal standpoint but the locals were pissed and demanding action, and the cops likely didn't care until the flyers stirred up the local citizens into raising a stink with the mayor. So the mayor tells the cops to deal with it, they go out and find the Nazi crew (a decent chance they were all known to the cops to begin with), and then the crew gets the bright idea to screw with the cop. It looks like this crew is a known quantity because of their association with these "Resist Marxism" rallies last year.
In a word: LOL
One might also catch an unlawful carry charge for the brass knuckles if I'm reading Massachusetts law correctly.
