Playing on Surface Pro / Intel 620?
Hey, anybody playing on a surface pro 5 or 6, or a similarly specced platform running Intel's 620 graphics? Thinking about upgrading my laptop from a 2nd gen i7 and 555gt..

Intel HD graphics work on my mid 2015 MacBook Pro but the floodlights don’t render correctly.

Already used to playing with everything on low and rendering weird anyway 😂

Probably wouldn't work. Any card that does not support GL won't even start up.
The recommendation on Steam and GOG are a good base to follow for your upgrade. 560 GTX Ti is what they minimum list and the 555GT wouldn't be enough.
The stats you chose for a new machine will load quickly, but will be very choppy or will have to lower the details.
A 1050GTX would be a good base to choose if you are sticking with a laptop.
Depending on your budget, you can look for NVIDIA's newer card 2050GT video graphics.

I appreciate the feedback, and wasn't very clear in the post. I'm playing it on the 2nd gen i7 amd 555gt currently. All graphics set to the lowest. It's a bit pokey, but that's okay. Just wondering if anybody had it working on the surface, from what I've seen the 620 and the 555gt are about equal in benchmarks.
I'm playing fine on my GPD Win 2 with a 615 (on a M3 proc + 8GB RAM). It's running at 960x544 though, but it's not even choppy unless, someone decides to LRM/SRM boat me (and all the purty rocket exhausts start slowing things a bit).
Otherwise it's actually plenty playable, so I'd expect the same from a 620 TBH.
Same here altho I run mine @ 720p for the increased clarity, don’t mind if it’s a bit choppy when zoomed out. Plays fine.
Only thing is the win 2 has active cooling and can run the chip at 10W TDP. I don’t know about the surface.
