Currently reading So Many Roads by David Browne

Grateful Dead

There are countless things I love about The Dead, but while reading So Many Roads I have a new appreciation for the recordings that we have such easy access to. I read Phil's book at a time in my life where I had no computer or internet access outside of work, so I wasn't able to dive into the music as much then. This time around I'm able to quickly find a show, song or album and dive into the music immediately after reading about it. I'm 37 and I often think about how I missed so much live music, but then I think about how easy it is to hear these shows and I'm thankful to live in a time where I'm only a couple of clicks away from '69, '72, '78, '81 or any other year I want to travel with The Dead!

Love it, I’m a similar age and agree. Sucks we missed all those great shows but frigging amazing we can find almost any show in Dead history and play any song, at any time, from our phones. What a time to be alive!

Agreed! I'm into 1977 so I've got some great shows lined up for today!
