There are countless things I love about The Dead, but while reading So Many Roads I have a new appreciation for the recordings that we have such easy access to. I read Phil's book at a time in my life where I had no computer or internet access outside of work, so I wasn't able to dive into the music as much then. This time around I'm able to quickly find a show, song or album and dive into the music immediately after reading about it. I'm 37 and I often think about how I missed so much live music, but then I think about how easy it is to hear these shows and I'm thankful to live in a time where I'm only a couple of clicks away from '69, '72, '78, '81 or any other year I want to travel with T

Amazon has a pretty deep discount on the illustrated collection today. I just got the first 3 books for right at $60 with one day shipping included. The shipping may be because we are prime members though. I've been watching these for a while and couldn't resist the price!

It's been a couple of years since I've sat down to watch my favorite Christmas movie. With it being R rated it can be difficult to fit it in with the kids around. So I'm traveling for work this week and I'm getting an early start. Time to fire up Netflix and watch Love Actually a little early this year!
