How to show the creator of my inspiration, my film?

Question

Hey guys!

I'm looking for some advice here. Back in 2014 I saw a tweet that inspired a lot of creativity in me. Eventually, with a lot of work from a lot of people, it turned into a short film. Now it's been released, I have a desire to inform the creator of my inspiration of the film's existence. I've tried e-mailing an address I found online for him, and tried the usual social media routes, but to my knowledge none of my attempts have even been seen. I don't want to be a One Direction fan screaming into the void at Harry Styles on the internet - does anyone have any recommendations that I could take or is the consensus that I should give up hope?

Can you show us the film?

I'll DM you the link!

What do you want out of them seeing it? If it’s to say thank you, then a DM or an email does it. If they see it, if they reply is irrelevant.

If it’s to want him to share it to his audience, that’s a different ask. It’s not shameless to want that but be honest that you would like that.

Release your film to the world. Credit him if you feel it. He’ll find it eventually.

It's mostly to say thank you, and I want to talk about it with him. If he enjoys it and feels I did the inspiration justice then I'll be happy with myself. If I wanted people to watch it, I would have shared the link. I'm not doing this for a career or even a living, just a hobby, so views mean very little to me.

He has a contact form on his site and seems pretty casual about it, so you'd probably have a chance there https://www.jomnysun.com/contact

That's probably the only route you can go. I also want to show my film to someone who inspired me, but as they are a big talent my plan is to submit it via their agency. As this guy seems fairly independent, that's not a possibility here.

I actually had not found this form, thanks!
