The Imgur thread has more detailed build comments for each image, but they don't always seem to show up when viewing them with RES.

Following a nasty electrical storm last summer, my poor overworked desktop UPS array finally gave up the ghost, killing my ancient intrusion prevention system in the process. I'd been putting off a full rebuild for far too long, so I bit the bullet and rebuilt my lab from the ground up. This gave me the opportunity to buy a real UPS and an open four-post rack designed for the workload. I also used it as an excuse to replace my aging network gear, upgrade nearly every component in my server, and build an identical second server for funsies.

Both servers run VMware ESXi 6.7U1 and host a variety of guests running Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, SQL Server, FileZilla FTP, a seed box, GNS3, and a variety of storage and network engineering applications.

Core Switch: Cisco WS-C3745E-48PD (soon to be replaced with two stacked 3850s) with RPS 2300 with 3x total 1,150w PSUs

Firewall: 2x Cisco ASA 5550 firewalls w/ 4GB RAM, 4GB flash, and all options licensed, configured in an active/standby failover bundle
Servers: 2x IBM x3650 M3 servers w/ dual Xeon X5690 CPUs (6x 3.333GHz each), 192GB RAM (12x 16GB DIMMs), LSI MegaRAID 9260-16i internal RAID adapter w/ external battery and Cachecade key w/ 16x 512GB SSDs in RAID 10, LSI MegaRAID 9286CV-8E external RAID adapter w/ external battery and Cachecade key, QLogic QLE8242 2x10Gb Ethernet Adapter

Why do you use azure for backup?

I get $100 in free Azure credits each month through the MPN Action Pack, so it's free.

This is the amount of detail more posts should have on this sub. Nice work!

I wonder how much each SSD would cost

The majority of the SSDs are Samsung CM871A 512GB models, which I got for around $125 each with a bulk order.

IBM + Cisco + APC, probably the most true enterprisey homelab posted here
