I am running vCenter 7.0.0.10700 and I'm attempting to upgrade to 7.0.1.00100. I'm running into a consistent issue when attempting to stage the new version. It appears to download successfully, but staging fails at 99%. The error shown by the UI is "Error copying packages".

Disk capacity is fine across the board. "df -h" shows utilization of 27% on /boot, 13% on /dev/sda3, and below 2% everywhere else.

If I attempt to resume staging, it completes without a hitch, but I then get this error upon attempting installation: "Incomplete staging. Discrepancies exists between downloaded and available updates"

I'm a mid-career IT engineer that has worked for a federal agency for ~12 years. My current salary is $115k with very generous benefits, including 401k equivalent with 5% match, defined benefit pension (1% per year of service), health/dental/vision, full-time telework, and overtime (straight pay). I earn 4 weeks of PTO with a 5th week starting in 3 years and I earn 4 hours of sick time every two weeks. I can carry over 6 weeks of PTO (currently maxed) and there is no cap on sick time accrual (currently carrying ~6 months).

The job I've been offered comes with a $150k salary with much less impressive benefits, including a 3% 401k match and good health benefits. I would get 3 weeks of PTO
