what's the deal with the shitty internet in west sac?
i have at&t, but because of where the box is, internet speeds are ridiculously slow. verizon isn't available. why is west sac such an internet desert, and is there talk of this changing? we're going to buy a house here but i'm really irritated at the internet options. i'm annoyed that in 2019 internet options are so limited here.

Do you have access to cable? Iirc Wave is out there and does offer service as the cable Co.
Last check the regular cable offerings suck with the data cap but their gigabit offering using Docsis 3.1 is uncapped.
do you mean cable tv? we don't have cable, just internet.
i have no idea what anything in your second line means. how does one uncap their internet?
Does wave offer internet service to your address?

Cable companies like wave have two different technologies to provide internet. Docsis 3.0 and the newest Docsis 3.1.
Their cheaper and slower Docsis 3.0 based internet plans have data caps so they charge you extra money if your usage exceeds 400/500 gb.
Their fastest speed (gigabit) goes over the newest standard which is Docsis 3.1. On that service they do not have data usage caps.
yes, wave offers service to my address, but i've never heard of wave before and i hear such mixed things (as below), so idk.
They are definitely mixed feels especially about their older D3.0 tiers but their D3.1 gigabit network is relatively new that uses newer generation equipment. If anything it should be more reliable than the decades old twisted pair wiring used by ATT DSL.
Wave is one of the smaller residential broadband providers who has the cable monopoly for west sac whereas Comcast is predominant in the rest of the region.
Wouldn't hurt to try at all IMO.
