Is there a way to release livonian order?

Question

So i'm going for the holy trinity as pope but poland didnt take lithuania and he ate livonian order. I managed to snag a province from the lithuanians but i cant release livonian order from there. It has to do with primary culture thingy i think so my question is: Can i somehow release livonian order?

You have to convert the land's culture to prussian before the LO cores fade.

I thought about converting culture but is it prussian or my primary culture? I'm pope

Prussian because that’s their primary culture. Your primary culture doesn’t matter in any way releasing nations

There are two and a half ways to get the livonians. The return province button if it doesn't return it to Poland and the release nation button with the list of suitable nations. If the only province you have isn't Prussian it won't show up in the list. You could also try to spawn separatists and core the land to get a instant reconquest on them if you border that province.

I just realized they don't start with a province with their primary culture. You could grand the province to the Teutons. And take it back if it's culture converted.

I don't know if you can culture convert through a vassal like you can convert religion.

Vassals don't culture convert normally.

And the correct separatists won't spawn while it is the wrong culture.

Releasing the LO is really painful if you don't reach them before they die.

well i already got the achievement and yes, converting to prussian allowed me the release and it was a piece of cake to grab jerusalem and the knights

Like the others have said, but a slight correction. As long as the cores lie on a province in the same culture group, you can release them as vassal using these cores.

You'll have to take their core land from whoever owns it and release them that way.

Did you read anything i wrote? I have a land that has their core.

Can you not be rude? Good gracious.

Anyway, why is primary culture preventing their release if you own one of their core provinces? I've never had that issue. Never even heard of culture differences being a problem when it comes to releasing nations.

The nation you're going to release needs to have a province with their primary culture and core present. So as someone pointed out livonian order is actually prussian so i need to convert culture to prussian on that province and then i can release... i think. Didn't mean to be rude but its obvious that i already have the usual requirements to release someone.

Oh that makes sense. I've just never run into that issue before. Or have and just didn't take much notice. I did skim the post a bit too fast I think. Missed a few things. My apologies.

He is being rude? You couldn’t even take the time to read his post.
