April Challenge - Plate Curl
#Plate Curl
Congratulations to u/Zapnaz for the longest hang in last month's challenge. This month we'll be doing a Plate Curl for reps.
#The Challenge:
- Grab a weight plate with one hand. Lean against a wall or vertical surface (the post of a squat rack will work). Your upper and lower back must remain against the wall throughout the attempt. Your arm need not stay against the wall.
- Complete as many strict bicep curls as possible - reps may be docked for partial reps, momentum, sloppiness, or excessive bending of the wrist. Plate and wrist should remain relatively in line with the forearm.
- Scoring: Leaderboard will be sorted first by weight, then by reps. So use the heaviest plate you can manage for a clean rep.
- You may use 2 x 10 lb plates as an intermediate between 10 and 25 lb plates.
- Watch this demonstration.
- Post any questions/conversations here.
##Prizes
- Special flair will be awarded for heaviest curls
- GorillaStrength.us continues to sponsor these challenges with grip implement give-aways. It will be a random drawing, so anyone that posts a video could win! Prizes include choice of pinch blocks or hub trainers.
