The Perfectionists - Season 1 Episode 4 "The Ghost Sonata"

It has been well over a year since the conclusion of Pretty Little Liars and Marlene has blessed us with a sequel/spin-off series, The Perfectionists. Allison and Mona return from the original series along with a new ensemble in the town of Beacon Heights. New episodes premier on Freeform on Wednesday nights at 8:00 pm in the US.

Yes Emison is broken up but don’t worry. Knowing Marlene, in the season 7 two hour finale, she’s going to dedicate it to 90% of Emison’s wedding and the other 10% to the liars’ reunion. We’ll know who killed Nolan in the after show special. If not there, then on Twitter.

Previously on Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists: Dylan ate an entire bag of candy corn by himself before arriving to the conclusion that he doesn't even like candy corn. Ava's roommate was holding her coat for ransom so she made a YouTube^TM video about it. Caitlin had a heartwarming conversation with her imaginary British boyfriend. And for the third episode in a row, Mona refused to leave her apartment.

With tensions rising, Alison regrets adopting the Perfectionists— I mean, they are all more helpless than a litter of newborn kittens. (While Caitlin and Dylan seem perfectly capable of taking care of themselves at least feeding themselves, it is really hard to prevent Ava from spreading Crest^® toothpaste on her bagel and insisting that it's 'spearmint cream cheese'.) Life was so much easier when Alison could just morph into an omnipotent, time-bending spectre and waltz along the corridors of a mental asylum.

As a subject-matter expert when it comes to finding and killing elusive blonde girls, Mona stops playing chess with the ghost of Charlotte DiLaurentis, and submerges herself into a perpetual state of hyper-reality— (Yes, this is what Mona's superpowers are actually called. —in order to help Alison search for answers Who killed Nolan? (Wait for it.) Who is trying to frame Alison for Nolan's murder? (Soon.) Who is playing chess with Mona? (Marlene King is still drawing names out of a hat for this one.) Is Sara Harvey the answer to all these questions? (Yes, yes she is.)

Yes, the premise of the show makes no sense. If Alison had learned anything from her Rosewood misadventures she would have left as soon she found out there was creepy stalker/killer on the loose. Or at least wouldn't have trusted the Idiot Trio for no reason whatsoever. I mean, I don't even like Alison but she is smarter than that.

Like, in PLL, she was attacked/buried alive/faked her death/whatever I can't keep it all straight, but she knew someone was after her so she peaced the fuck out. Then CeCe turns out to be her sister so that revolves around her too. It was only really UberA/Not Spencer that wasn't about Alison but she's friends with them again and her fake husband is involved.

This new mystery has nothing to do with Mona or Alison. At all. Like you just met these people. Fuck off and go back to Rosewood which is safe now.
