When you lose 50% of the crew in the warp jump and the recruits start freaking out.

"Where we're going, we won't need eyes to see."
That's just what any astropath would say.
"Too soon!"
"Astropath Bacilus, I'm over here."
What's the film?
Event Horizon. The CG doesn't age well, but the environment is stunning
You're right about the CG but it's not very intrusive to the overall film plus a super cool story and solid acting make this one of the rare "older" horror movies to still scare, in this humble guardsman's opinion
You either die young, or live long enough to see the internet refer to Event Horizon as "older horror."
Event Horizon came out 22 years ago. There are people in college and working younger than that.
At least it's 2 months younger than Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
This hits harder than it should.....
Who hurt you that you feel the need to hurt others like this?
Still one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. It's just well done.

Event Horizon confirmed to be in the 40k universe.
It's honestly one of the most 40k films I can think of. Want to travel FTL? Gotta go through hell to get there.... literally.
edit: The Dead Space animes are basically a Death Gaurd/nurgle incurssion. as well
Yeah, even In The Mouth of Madness with Sam Neil could also fit, basically the warp in that movie though its obviously based on Lovecraft.
Event Horizon is about a ship that traveled the warp. Sam Neil turns into a a believer in the Chaos gods, etc. Fits well.
Is there any way we can fit Jurassic park in for the ultimate chaos cultist trilogy?
The warp is close to the surface on the island and the unsuspecting scientists have no clue of it. Slaanesh's taint triggers sex changes in the dinosaurs and they start breeding, spawning more and more warp beasts which end up killing every human on the island.
ALAN!
Maybe, Sam Neil was also the anti Christ in The Omen 3.
Life before Gellar Fields was... complicated.
Blade runner is pretty grimdark
Lucky 13 and Sonnie's Edge (Netflix's Love, Death and Robots) I consider to be part of 40k in my headcanon also.
I literally only just watched that series a few days ago! They were 40k as fuck. Would also say the one with the bad ftl jump no spoilers was definitely something I could see in 40k
Hell Raiser too
Soldier almost certainly is too.
