My parents offered to pay for a venue.

My parents are pretty well to do, and in the last few years my mother has continually gotten raises. Its really cool for her because she had to stop working for a while when she got sick.

Well, they took my and my FW to check out some places for the rehearsal dinner. While we were out, they took us to a full on venue. Obviously my FW fell in love with it, and I did too. We talked about it while we were there and my parents offed to pay the full price for it. It included rooms for all the wedding party and anyone else that could fit. It included the reception, decorations, and all the fixens. Even the cake was included. My mother grabbed the estimate for the venue and when she was looking at it in the car I took a peak. $20k. I almost pooped myself.

Our current plan was to have our wedding at the place we met/our first date/where I proposed. It was at a restaurant in our hometown. They have a history house on a beautiful property in downtown. The owners are basically family at this point. They offered for us to use it for free.

We decided to go with our original plan. We couldn't give up having the best day of our lives in the place where our lives began together.
