Infuriating dog nutters

So, the situation I'm gonna describe transpired two years ago but the reaction of the dog nutters in our family still infuriates me.

I had four friends over for a sleep over, one of which owned a dog she also brought; cause she wouldn't leave him home with her fiance. We decided to let the dog into our backyard where we have our free roaming guineapigs. I thought it would work 'cause I had the dog of my aunt in the back of my mind, who never goes after the piggies she just runs around our garden cause we've got grass and my aunts backyard doesn't.

Anyways, he dog started chasing the piggies and at first we didn't think much of it. But soon it turned out that he was actually chasing them pretty roughly and he even had his muzzle down on the ground trying to grab onto them. That's when I put a stop to it, told my firend to take her dog on the leash and we would take a walk. I knew she was very emotional about the dog and didn't want to get her mad.

Fast foreward to the next day, everyone had left again and my mom calls me down to show me that one of our piggies had died. We suspect her dog either trampled him or grabbed him, causing internal damage. My little sis (11 at that time) was inconsolable and crying. My mom asked me to contact my friend to get into contact with her dog insurance because the piggie had cost us 110€.

So I did as she asked and you won't (or would) belive the things I had to listen to from her. No thought on our piggie or my sis it was all ME ME ME. By that point I was spitting mad as well, 'cause if someone hurts my sisters all bets are off. I told her to chill her ass out and not shoot the messenger, which was exactly what she was doing. She even denied her dog chasing the piggies, or his snout being near them. I had a friend as a whitness, who had seen exactly what I had seen. At the end she relented, all but begrudgingly, and gave me the contact for her insurance. But it was also my first sign that that girl was positively and totaly nuts. One of the reaons we're no longer firends and she can go to hell for all I care.

I wanted to write this in here because yesterday I talked with my sis bf about this incident. He and my 3 year younger sis are the dog nutters in our family. Like, I always call them the "united nations of DOG".

He was like: A dog would never do that. I know dogs, they would never do that.

Even after I told him that I knew what I saw, my friend knew what she saw. That the dog was also aggressive towards cats and other small rodents that'll run around a field when on a walk. He was still ademant that the dog would never do that and that it had to've been another reason for the piggie passing.

I like my sis and her bf but concerning dogs they are a straight up lost cause. And they also always ask why I dont like dogs, but when I tell them my reasons they aren't understanding, always protect the dog and do the normal nutter dance.

As I told him last week that my friends husky bit me back in the day and his mom told me to hush up and don't tell my mom you would not belive how quickly he was like: "let's go upstairs." My sis, to this day, doesn't belive me that my aunts dog bit me. She always cries about her cat allergies and how she doesn't wanne be near them but I with my dog allergies should just take medicine. And she's confused why I clean our staircase twice a week: newsflash because we carrie my grandmothers hellhounds furr everywhere and it gives me hives.

At this point I have turned to just avoid the toppic. But I have made myself clear on one thing: Should they later on have a dog and a baby I will a) never watch the dog and b) only watch the baby at my place. Should've seen her face when I told her that.

She: "B-But why T_T"

Me: "Would you stay at my place if I had cats?!"

TLDR: A friends dog trampled one of our guineapigs to death and she was mad at us as we wanted the money for our piggie back. And my sis and her bf, to this day, defend the dog saying that what I saw didn't really happen.
