Does that mean we get HLVR soon?
Nope!
Why is r/hl2vr set to private? Do you guys own that subreddit or is someone trying to squat it?
Is that a safety back up in case Valve really has a VR half life game?
That subreddit has been taken by someone for many years now, it is unrelated to us.
damn dude that's messed up.

Would this code be useful for the Gmod VR project as well as Anarchy Arcade?
The Gmod VR dev hasnt reached out to us, and I dont know how much access he has to the rendering in Gmod so I honestly dont know if he could use this implementation.
Unlike other source engine mods where you work directly in c++ in Gmod you use a lua based modding interface provided by the dev instead of real code access.
As I understand it you guys have some VR-ready replacement viewmodels with the back faces recreated, which appears to be one of the weaknesses of VRMod. Would those be something you would be open to sharing with the VRMod?
We do no longer use View models we completely replaced and reworked most of Valve Systems from the ground up.
Well, in this case I don't really mean viewmodels. I'm talking about any higher than worldmodel quality SMG1 model, for instance
Looking good! He report a nice smooth framerate even in a busy scene (with streaming media!), and I didn't see any weird warping in FPP or object holding/manipulation issues. Promising stuff.
I'm glad you guys finally have something to show off, and it's super cool you're helping other Source projects implement this magic. I hope to see more as this team makes more progress too... :)
