Hippiestation Badmin Cronyism
A normal non antag player murdering the fuck out of sec would very promptly get the bwoink and ban. It’s quite simple. You don’t get to murder a member of sec for doing their job no matter how displeased you are especially if you brought it on yourself whether it be murder, grand theft or major trespass.
This time however, it was Babymin (an apt title) Turret who murdered the detective because he was so frustrated of being caught breaking into the captain's office and stealing. Cue the promptness of admins CLOSING ahelps, delays in attending to the banreqs and then, deliberately avoiding the need to address the one applicable rule as well as trying to skew events and justification in favor of their fellow admins.
This is a clear cut case of the detective witnessing the CE going into the captain's room through cams and then catching him running with the captain's saber when he finally arrived. A valid reason to perma anyone (even without the latejoin captain's O-K) Despite this reason badmins ruled IC/escalation for the CE to murder the fuck out of the detective in his jailbreak from perma when he had non lethal means to subdue or escape which is the expected behaviour for non antags according to the rules.
And the reasons for the admin's support in denial? They can’t even be consistent with it because Turret’s account of the events wouldn’t even help him ordinarily as shown by Turret saying shit like (this is of course paraphrased to display the ridiculousness of it);
"Oh no, I can't kill you for killing my accomplice in my escape?"
"Oh, you are a shit detective for permaing everyone!" (Wrong, the only person I perma'd in that shift was the CE I caught in the act, I even tried to talk the captain out of permaing an assistant I only brought into the brig to use its medbay)
"Oh, the inmates can infer you were going to kill them next eventhough you stopped shooting your lethal shotgun rounds once the main threat was downed so that there would be enough left in them to be used to kill YOU instead"
Ignoring the fact the admin admitted to killing me so I cannot go after him for revenge later in the round.
And this was just the parts before the one admin in support of a denial at that time quickly locked the thread despite the fact there was another admin finally convinced it was not valid/IC when I asked for more attention to be brought to this deplorable behaviour.
Second thread?
Cue admins hinting I should be blamed since I perma'd the wrong guy, ignoring my accounts that I saw the CE going in through cams and then capturing him with the sword in hand; usually enough for admins to wash their hands of any wrongful permabrigging (although I guess this is proven otherwise if it’s their admin buddy)
Suddenly saying taking the captain's sword which is proof enough that they were trespassing and thefting is not permaworthy despite precedents that even the chain of command, coin and hand tele are enough to get into perma/be executed. Those don't even need a locker to be broken to get either.
Taking buckshoting (minimal damage from obvious spread targeted at the one person with all access to prevent any risk to lone sec or the ability for the rest of the inmates to escape) and morphining (to stop the CE from escaping the first time out of his three escape attempts while detective was trying to treat him from bleeding out at the brig) as a whole for "escalation" when the CE wasn't being cooperative and trying his damned best to escape.
Normal players in the same situation would be crucified mercilessly and then when admins realize mistakes were made only giving "oh I made a mistake, sorry" only to repeat them again at the first opportunity if they don’t wait until bans run their course so they can avoid actually admitting anything. Fellow admins however… well, looks like admins are not interested in keeping the peace or actually enforcing the rules after all.
