Mio is on field. Climax is revealed on me attacking (attacker could be anyone, not just Mio) and will go into stock. I bring another character from waiting room, taking Mio's spot, to send Mio to the waiting room. Is the Climax already in stock since its already resolved by bringing the new character in, so I can pay for Mio's ability with it to pay and have it into the waiting room as well (so it isn't stuck I'm stock) or does Mio's ability have to be resolved first before the revealed climax goes into stock?

Larp may as well be fresh in my country, Malaysia, and as I'd still like to see it get more popular and grow so it wouldn't be defined by the one org; I've no choice but to give the same advice to anyone asking me about it as its the only regular-ish event. If you hadn't the chance to try the hobby by all means join a MyLarp event, best being Maelstrom- but don't join as a PC. Instead join as an NPC. That way you'll get to experience a larp, you won't get invested into your PC and feel its a sunk cost when you eventually realize MyLarp's games have nothing to offer and more importantly, you won't be subsidizing the game for the select few players which are favored- which I mean despite payin

So I've been thinking of using Isshin to go ham on the baldur's gate cards with myriad. I've had fun using blades with my bear deck but because bear deck is all for buffing the bear it doesn't seem to be too synergistic there.

I plan to also add stuff to capitalize on the myriads with etbs and some of the goad enchantments which have benefits when my enchanted opponent creatures attack me. That and maybe some death triggers. Am I trying to do too much? What do you think I should be adding to help proc these? (like maybe etbs I'm gonna use panhar, death triggers with altar, etc.)

One more thing I've thought but may be a little too complicated would be to use myriad with shadowborn apostles

I really have to ask since I am a filthy casual and haven't even touched this part of the game. I did farm the boxes but since they are time limited I guess I have to do this fast. What stones should I be getting exactly? For reference I have all the characters except banner melodias and a card for each character (ban and diane has 2)

This happened just last week/session so it's still fresh in my mind. The game is the infamous Curse of Strahd module in 5e's Adventurer's League. From the outset GM mentioned it will be run as it should be. Me: "Right, cool" and join in as a kobold bard since its a fresh PC anyway so nothing will be lost in our inevitable death.

Until this point, game has been running with little issues other than a PC finishing a cultist ritual for them despite the rest of the party saying it's a bad idea, murdering opponents (read: potential leads) for our next step (even if its really easy to take them in alive under 5e rules), changing/assuming what my PC did at one point (e.g. though the only LE in th

I'll probably share the situation/context of this over the weekend or the next but on to the subject of the conversation...

Has anyone ever experienced any metagrudging in their larps? Or witnessed it happen/the aftermath of? Maybe it was theft (however the person may view the theft even if it wasn't for other people), maybe it was death (e.g. new characters suddenly having animosity or friends being privy to something they shouldn't be) or maybe its some old issues from outside the larp (other games/groups/player expectations). How did you deal with it or how wasn't it dealt with by your expectations?

Ok so this weekend, I'll be joining a megagame (Watch the Skies) and no one else over here has run it before so we're all pretty fresh (and some more fresher than others to rpgs like half my team lol)

From what I understand it has board game elements as well as roleplay elements. My team are pretty gung ho about it and want to go all in with matching costumes to their roles and with the whole "lets determine the details of the greatest nation in the world" sthick based on some vids they saw so their enthuiasm is already spot on.

But for everything else we are still a blank slate. Anyone who has ever played watch the skies (or any other megagame if not this one specifically) have any tips o

Call it a triple threat of adminning.

  1. Not understanding their own servers rules or history of (for the sake of relevance, the mess of rules on Hippie were streamlined around the middle of the year to trim the fat leaving only relevant rules) to the point of being unable to cite any relevant rule which is still applicable today that a player is beholden to. The result? Admemes misstating old and removed rules.

  2. Not understanding the mechanics of the game- silicon laws. Everyone in any server (not even just Hippie) by now knows what asimov lawset and how much of a shitshow it is because of how it can be interpreted/abused and here, the admins are deliberately ignoring the clear wording
